We watched a video that explained Web 2.0 at http://www.youtube.com/embed/nsa5ZTRJQ5wWe talked about Open Source and what that means. Open Source is the name for all the free Internet tools that we will be learning about in this class.
Mrs. Moore showed us her website at http://kimberlymoore.webs.com/ to show us some Web. 2.0 tools.
We logged into our personal gmail accounts. We made an e-mail group of our class. We added a picture to our e-mail if we wanted to.
We opened Google Docs. We uploaded our "What Matters" essays to our Google Docs. We shared our paper with Mrs. Moore. We shared our paper with one other student in class and commented/peer edited with that student. There is no homework for Monday Aug. 29.

Today we got our wikispaces and posted the links to our first "What Matters" essay on them! Also, we learned how to navigate the wikispaces. Our homework is the second essay on what matters to our community. YOu are supposed to brainstorm on Bubblus.So write that....

Today, we helped the slackers who had not put their bubbl.us onto their Wiki-wiki-wiki by putting it on. Then we put links to our second what matters essay onto our wiki space. Then we went tohttp://ic.galegroup.com/ic/ovic/browseIssues and looked at global issues. Then we sat in groups of three and shared our second essay with two other righteous dudes and dudets. Then Mrs. Moore called us individually to the back of the room to get to know us better. HMWRK: ESSAY 3 ON GLOBAL ISSUES! DUE BY NEXT CLASS ON SEPT 2: All 3 essays uploaded to your wiki page and your bubbl/us uploaded to your wiki page by the beginning of next class!

We peer edited our 3rd essay. We shared essay 2 and 3 with Mrs. Moore. We made sure essay 1, 2 and 3 plus our bubbk were all uploaded to our personal page on the wiki. We watched a video about about diigo. No homework.

We renamed the essays, read this : link, joined the Diigo class group, added diigolet : link, watched a video about using Diigo, HOMEWORK: Save at least 3 websites to a LIST YOU MAKE on diigo.

SEPTEMBER 27 - Mary Beth - WOOHOO! Web 2.0 a great start to everyones day. We are embedding our glogster onto our weebly, and looking up math on wolframalpha. The internet is being super slow, so people did not really get things done.
